As most of you who have read my columns over the years know, I am a dedicated worm fisherman. There is no other lure on the market which catches more bass than plastic worms. This is a great time of the year to put on your favorite plastic worm, work the grasslines of our chain or other lakes and catch that once-in-a-lifetime lunker bass.

Cold fronts don't deter fishermen

Was it cold enough to keep anglers off our lakes this week? I don't think so, as I receive reports every day from die hard fishermen who brave these cold fronts to enjoy the sport they love. Sure the bass are not hitting well in this type of weather, but the speckled perch are being caught each and every day.
