Streams are high and clear. Best times to fish are mid-morning to 4 p.m. when water temperatures are more moderate.

District Fishing Report: 1.27.12

Lake Erie: Thin ice that stretched across Presque Isle Bay never grew thick enough for safe ice fishing before it retreated as temperatures topped 50. Mild weather resulted in good perch and burbot fishing on the bayfront and near the north and south piers.
